So, Rarity is unimpressed by this new stallion and his too-forward ways. Spike tries to tell her that it’s him, but she laughs. There’s some moral about “being yourself” in her words, but he can’t hear them through his sobs. She leaves the “Find Somepony to Rut Festival” with a background pony, the artist’s O.C., or Pinkie.
 
Spike returns home utterly devastated. He seeks Twilight’s comfort, but instead walks in the door to the sounds of his mother, once again, being bucked by a character who once treated her like trash.
 
As the spell wears off he’s left in his “baby” dragon body, the hopes, dreams, and urges of a young man once more trapped in his scaly prison.
 
The next day, Trixie rolls off of Twilight and goes downstairs to find him swinging from the beams of the library. There is no note.
 
Secretly glad that he’s out of the way, her first thought is if this is going to affect breakfast.
