You’d be surprised how passionate some haters are. Some will never admit something they hate will ever have any good points.

@PonyPon To answer your question, I am aware that it doesn’t affect the cartoon or me. It just leaves me feeling so disappointed. When she is really trying and she is now in good terms with the rest of Equestria, some fans of the show won’t let her past go regardless of when she has been written good or not. To those that just ignore the bad side of the fandom and just don’t take any of that crap, good on you.
 
@Meanlucario I admit that sometimes she can get on my nerves too, but I just think about all the improvements she has been trying to make and then I tell myself that everyone makes mistakes so of course she will slip up a lot of times.

How good can your life be if you get that bent out of shape about the hate of a cartoon? It affects neither you, or the cartoon, so what’s the point?

@Beau Slinky I know and I am glad that some people have warmed up at her and accepted her as a cast member. But the ones that hate Starlight REALLY hate Starlight. But don’t get me wrong, it is the animosity and attitude I hate, not the people themselves.

Not every brony hates Starlight though, (I used to kinda dislike her, but I’ve warmed up to her) the fanbase is basically just divided on her.

You know what? I am going to get hate for this but I don’t care. Starlight doesn’t deserve the hate she receives from this fandom. In fact, that’s what I LOATHE about any fandom for an animated cartoon. Hating a character like Starlight. A character that did something wrong, very wrong, but then shows genuine want to change and be better than she used to be. She is trying. She is better. She didn’t decline Twilight’s offer to start again. She proved by being moved at her speech that she was capable of change. BUT what does she get? People from all over the world, wishing her nothing but pain, suffering, and possibly death on her. The point is people that it’s pathetic. Is something so bad in your life or are you just that upset with something like a CARTOON? You have to get over it. I know that it seems like nothing. However, hate is a strong emotion and hate kills. So next time you look at the screen and glare, think to yourself, “DO THEY TRULY DESERVE THE HATE?”

Ouch… I also got chewed out by artists for either disagreeing with an opinion of theirs’, or just by giving harmless critique.
 
DA is a good art site, (I use it) but it’s understandable why it sometimes has a bad rep’. Like this place, there are nice, and rude people.

This one dude on DA was rude to one of my friends because he thought my friend was “creepy” (AFTER he accepted and drew a commission for my friend) because my friend likes doing roleplays in comments. When I chewed the guy out, he started going after me.
