I just hate that the only conclusion they got out of it was that they were all being mean for no reason at all.
That they should just expect all their friends to suddenly become total jerks out of the blue.
It was just really unpleasant.
They did question it though, in your view they just didn’t question what was going on enough. Basically they rationalized it as misunderstandings, stress and the Everfree Forest being weird.

Xactly. Look at any episode and tell me someone isn’t broken one way or the other so they can have conflict and tension.
You’ll find that most eps do that. Even all the way back to Season One.
I mean, there’s not exactly much point in breaking a character if it doesn’t contribute anything to the plot or progression of a story, you know?
Well, Sunset gets broken to the point that IT IS THE P L O T. And we’re supposed to feel super sorry about her.
Forgotten Friendship is basically “let’s see just how much we can break her and get her fans to feel like they want to cuddle and protec her forever”
So yeah…I guess that’s just how it is.
