Besides, it felt like when Twilight was like “I know that…Now. Which is why I wanted to talk to you,” it feels more like of a “I know that now. Let’s change the subject,” because of her not bringing up what she did, let alone admitting she was wrong to do so. It also feels like she was rewarding them only because they actually taught Cozy Glow correctly, not as an apology gift.
Sorry Nicole, we know what you were trying to aim for, but you missed the target, sadly… Well, at least in my personal opinion that is.
bye bye twi haters
I feel like season 6 became a turning point for her. S1-5 seems fine, but she became really irritable starting S6.
Edited
This reminds me of Greed and how it changes people
i feel your pain
Off screen stuff is better than the show itself lol
I love Twiggles as much as anyone, but they’ve really been shining a light on her flaws lately and it’s starting to grate on me. She’s become a preachy, self-important jerk when she is being Princess Twilight Sparkle, with the science, magic and book-loving Twilight Sparkle becoming increasingly rare.
My favorite dork is all but gone, and I’m a little sad.
*some writers
I swear, some people….
Don’t remind me about how bronies made Twilight hate Cadance in ACW.
Because someone like Twilight wouldn’t instinctively think “this filly who’s crying in front of me over a failed test obviously intentionally failed it and is crying crocodile tears” (she was a really dedicated student at Celestia’s school, remember? Of course she’d have a hard time wrapping her head around that one instinctively), with a slice of Cozy Glow saying something like “I don’t understand, the CMC taught me everything…”, and it wouldn’t have been the first time the CMC have done something questionable, exactly.
Also, it’s not unprecedented for Twilight to jump the gun in accusing someone. Just look at ACW. Regardless of the fact that she was actually correct about “Cadance” being evil, she had no actual evidence when accusing her in front of everyone.
@cheezedoodle
Exactly. She was the one 100% at fault here, for manipulating them.
ETA:
That counts as an implicit apology to me.
Edited
Yes, it does.
But doesn’t apologising with action count as show don’t tell having her just say sorry would be telling not showing
Agreed
Okay, you got me there. Still, why did Twilight believe Cozy so easily? Shouldn’t Twilight know the CMC to at least give them the benefit of a doubt?
And I still say she should have apologized in the episode. Show, don’t tell.
Cozy was the one that accused the CMC for ruining her test not twilight
Edited
She accused the CMC of ruining Cozy’s test.
She didn’t do anything wrong
In the episode.
Twilight still should have apologized to them after learning the truth, though.
“Oh she yelled at them boo hoo”
That’s what teachers do and it’s not the point of the cmc did nothing wrong it the fact that twilight thought they did something wrong
Pretty much me, as well.
