How is it outdated?
The majority of brony shipping is a joke. This one is not.
There just aren’t many males in the show, and those that exist tend to suggest very particular kinds of relationships. Big Mac invites all kinds of quiet country guy/smart city girl imagery and complications with Applejack (and Fluttershy depending on your preference). Spike is like her little brother.
Caramel has been seized on as a nameless, faceless male image on which to project any sort of normal relationship the artist or writer might want to imagine.
“Sir, we have a problem”
“what is it?”
“The seems to be a crack in our ship”
I don’t get this one, in fact it makes so little sense to me I’m surprised this is actually a thing with its own tag.
