I have my headcanons about EqG too, but I often ignore stuff that doesn’t make sense in Equestria Girls because otherwise it’d be too distracting. It seems to me that the humane six are just younger versions of the mane six. I don’t see much reason to view them as completely different. I just hope you can respect where I’m coming from.
 
Also, I think Shining Armour was described as an alumnus, so he’s not a student.

I basically just mean that it seems like they reduced a wide range of ponies into the same age group which feels a bit jarring at times  
An example of this is Photo Finish, she always seemed like a mature professional who’s made herself a name and got a reputation in equestria, much older then most of the young adults of the mane six, but in eqg she is just another student ?  
They took all kinds of recognizeable characters and kinda just reduced them down into the same age category  
Then Cheerilee is arbitrarily an adult working at the school but Shining Armor is a Senior, tho the show (the comics explicitly) presented these two as being the same age
 
As I said, you do you, I just find eqgs set-up a bit jarring, which is why I got a lot of mumbo jumbo headcanons about eqg verse, tho I’m doing my best to not be an overanalyzing dipshit brony sigh sigh
 
Then again the show itself is inconsistent too (esp w the comics so I shouldn’t cite them)

Sorry to dissapoint on this one ! I would not have another sunset in this, every ‘human’ that came over from the eqg universe is what you see up there (plus the sirens ?)  
The other Sunset is a normal human afteral who never interacted with the magic shenanigans of the mains

I kinda lost the connection between them with all of them forced into high school no matter what kinda mature or adult lives they seem to lead in pony universe, like rarity going from a hard working business mare to a high schooler who just interns at a fashion place ? I dunno personally I think they’re quite diferent when we get down to it

Fans like making Sci-Twi a unicorn because Princess Twilight Sparkle wasn’t born an alicorn and earned her wings. Plus it’s another way to differentiate the two of them outside of the glasses and hairstyles.

Why does everyone draw ponified Sci-Twi as a unicorn? Isn’t she s’posed to be an alicorn?

I’m biased in that I like Equestria Girls most when the humane six act the same as the mane six. Clearly they’re separate from their pony counterpart, but the two worlds clearly mirror each other enough that I don’t think they’re that different either.
 
I mean, except Spike. One of them is a dog.

You can count me as one of the few people who agrees with this fact.

This is exactly how I feel about their EQG counterparts and I’ve tried persuading others about this to little to no avail so I’m glad to hear someone else is on the same page as me about this.
 
Speaking of, I wanted to draw pony designs for the EQG cast but I never got around to doing that. I might just do that.

Absolutely ! That is also how this au would handle them, all parents love their “kids” and want to support them, same with the siblings, but they’re still separate people so they outta be treated as such

It’s the same basic principle as twins separated at birth.

At least that is how I remember the discussions going on the threads. There is a lot of confusion in this thou, as Shimmer is not on everypony’s good side, even today.

humane six is with Equestrian Twilight, while the original humane seven is with equestrian twilly too, we had 2 years of EG where this was the setup before Friend Games, only then the humane seven included scitwi.
