Sweetie Belle managed to open a portal to R’lyeh using only the contents of a normal kitchen.

That’s actually a pretty amazing accomplishment.

From the article on businessinsider.com:
It is a Hell-beast born of fire!
Actually, it is a reaction caused by igniting a mixture of Mercury(II) thiocyanate (Hg(SCN)2) and Ammonium chromate (NH4)2CrO4, two highly toxic but highly awesome compounds.

>”Sweetie, how do you even DO that?”
>”I don’t know! It was chocolate cake mix from a box! I followed the directions!”
>”Don’t say it–”
>”I just don’t know what went wrong!”

Now I’m wondering how this would go with the Student Six and a cooking class. I can see Gallus slapping down a piece of well-aged roadkill and when someone complains it’s no good, “Hey, it’s great! All the maggots love it!”

Here’s what Baron had to say about this:

Pinkie Pie stared at mass of squirming tentacle with a look of disgust and alarm. A with front hoof she flipped the door of the oven closed. With that accomplished she looked over at Sweetie Belle who had remained motionless and silent for the last 20 seconds. After several more seconds of uncomfortable silence the mare spoke.

“Uh, Sweetie. I’m afraid I am going to have to give your cobbler a, well, um, a failing grade.”

The filly sighed. “Understood. So Pinkie, do you want to grade my sourdough starter?”

The pink mare stared over at the sealed stoneware jar. Occasionally it rock or shake ever so slightly. From within one could hear muffled scratching and clawing sounds punctuated by moaning eldritch sounds.

“Nope! Not to day! Let’s um, give it a few more days to settle down.” Then she muttered under her breath. “And hopefully die.”

What was Sweetie’s cookbook, the Necronomicon?
