Fixing You
By Duskhoof,
Description by Synesisbassist

Storm Cloud tackles the running mare to the ground, the two ponies tumbling to a halt in the deep green grass below. Panting, the unicorn stares up at the mare she had long thought to be gone. “S-Stormy!!! You’re alive!”

Flicking her darkened mane from her face, a pair of purple orbs stared back down. Tears welled up in the corners, one daring to streak down her cheek. “Y-Yeah Blazie… I am. I’m sorry I kept you waiting for so long.”

Without a moment’s hesitation, the pinned mare shot up, pulling the pegasus in for a small, but sensual kiss. Their lips touched, moving in the sacred dance of lovers as the sunset on the horizon. Breaking the kiss suddenly, Blaze rested their heads together, making sure her horn was out of the way. “I love you Stormy… Never ever leave me again, please? I need you to promise me that.”

The pegasus nodded, sniffling quietly as her forelegs wrapped around Blazie’s head tightly. “I promise. Forever and always, my love….” Like a whisper on the wind, her voice tickled her ears, bringing a smile to her face for the first time since she had left…. She was a complete mare, with everything to lose, and all the world to gain….

“Ow, my leg! AHHHH!”

But seriously, equine legs are hard if unfamiliar with the anatomy involved. Study a horse skeleton and you’ll help yourself draw better ponies.

See, the knee on their back legs is WAY higher up than you’d think, since horses essentially stand on their toes. From there, what curves backward is their foot, then an ankle joint, then the shin, then the knee, which is nearly totally obscured by body musculature and fat when the horse is standing.
