Thank you guys. He’s at peace now. He was 15, he lived a long fulfilling life, had him ever since he was a tiny little kitten. He has been my best friend and therapy pet for half my life at this point, so it’s devastating to lose him. But… We knew this was coming. He had been acting strange for awhile now and last night, I think he had a stroke or something because he suddenly took a rapid decline in health. Just hours prior, he was able to walk and clean himself, even go up and down stairs. Then suddenly… He was just limp, active and able to look around, but it was like his body was made of jelly, he couldn’t stand on his own. We knew it was time, even if he able to make it to the next day, it was only going to happen again and keep getting worse. We did the right thing, he’s not suffering anymore. I’m sad but more than anything I’m surprisingly relieved. I had been working about him for months and now that he’s finally gone, that stress is no longer on him but also me.
I’m strong, I’m a big boy, I can keep going on my own. Ninja, thank you for the past decade and a half. You gave me the strength to get through some of my darkest days. Now it’s my turn to make you proud, I deserve to be happy and your memory will give me the drive to obtain it. I’m dedicating this song to you buddy, you will always be my Rising Sun, and I will always be yours. Rest in peace my friend, you have earned it.
I’m gonna need to be alone for awhile, I’ll give one last howdy for now. Everyone, take care of yourselves. Think about that thing you want and love, and hold it dear.

That’s always rough. My partner has several cats and has already dealt with a little bit of that, he dreads the day he has to do that for another.
A mournful howdy for you, my friend, may your days be many and your woes few.
Sad howdies all around. Last night, my beloved kitty, my baby boy and best friend, has reached an apex in his declining health. While he’s still around, he’s in pain and extremely lethargic. I’m writing this as I wait for a response from the vet about putting him to rest. I’ll have some tough times ahead of me but we saw this coming for awhile.
Listen, if you have any one, any person, any animals, anything you love dearly, I want you to to out of your way and express your love and appreciation for them. Life is fleeting and fickle, you never know when it might end.
