and that privilege has been abused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes.
the first one?
It ain’t from the Lion King, it’s from Land Before Time.
I don’t remember that from the lion king
I remember that movie.
Think about it. You can see your future, every single moment of it. If you choose you can feel, taste, and smell actions and things years ahead of you. It only makes sense that ponies who know about it are sucked into the mindset. “I’ll change my future,” or “I’ll avoid that one life changing mistake,” that kind of thing. It would be nice if that were the case, but the fact is that everything you see is going to happen, no matter what you do. You will always make that awful mistake, ruin that cherished relationship, and lose that loved friend. More importantly, you will always die, and exactly as you see it. Consider a stallion, sure of himself, ready to face the world. Then he gets the spell cast on him and sees that in three years time he will die horribly. And no matter what he does, no matter how much he avoids it, he will always, invariably, meet the same demise that the spell spits out. Imagine that, knowing exactly what is going to happen right to the very second before, and yet unable to change anything. Even worse, you know everything you’ll be leaving behind. Your foal, who you hope to see grow up and be successful? Now you know that there is no chance, no hint of a chance, that you ever will. It’s driven ponies mad.
Th Equestria legal system might not be perfect, but I give credit where credit is due. Especially in recent years, the punishments for spreading knowledge of and practicing Looking-Glass has been more that adequate. The courts dally with cases, as always, but in general any manipulative unicorn scumbag that sells the spell gets dragged into the machine and made to suffer. I almost feel sorry for some of them, to be honest. I think the latest one got something close to 14 years of incarceration and reeducation.
Of course, that doesn’t deter some folks. There’s always some piece of crap just waiting to capitalize on somepony else, and there’s always a curious fool who thinks they can handle it. Just be sure that you aren’t one of either.
Something something politics joke.
