This comic was a request from PurpleWonderPower, who wanted me to make a comic where Discord recruits various friendship teachers that embody the polar opposites of the elements they’re supposed to be teaching. I think it was supposed to take place during A Matter of Principals, but I set it after the fact with Discord’s own knock-off school to avoid too much overlap with the comic I already made for that episode. I hope you don’t mind, Purple.
 
Yeah, I didn’t really have a good one for Laughter. Purple suggested Grampa Gruff and I considered Cranky Doodle Donkey due to his appearance in the original episode, but they aren’t really bad guys, and I didn’t want to single them out like that considering the rest of the cast. Discord HAS been known for making others suffer and miserable for his own amusement, so it kinda counts.
 
Discord hasn’t forgotten what Tirek did to him 4 seasons ago; he’d make sure his power was incapacitated and do whatever he could to make his life miserable during this community service project of his. …He’d still be a terrible friendship teacher, but at least Friendly Johnny over here knows better than to endanger all of Equestria THAT easily.
