It’s just not my preference. I’ve even drawn it on occasion. I just would rather draw the ponies, and when I draw a humanoid character I’m always more inclined to do a monster girl kind of thing :D

I’m guessing it’s because snakes conjure up primal images of predators that ponies find difficult to shake. I can only hope Ponyville is a far more welcoming to Snakes/Lamia than most other places in Equestria, otherwise I can’t imagine how Ninia stays in business.

Problem is they tend to attack first and talk later. A lot of ponies don’t even realize they CAN talk (or think it’s like parrots where they only mimic voices). They also don’t have much interest in making peace with ponies in the first place; this one was the only one in their entire flock who was willing to attend this XD

Not really. It worked fine for goo ponies and tatzlponies, but they’re already fairly accepted by regular ponies :P

Honestly, Greece was around for hundreds of years (and that’s not even counting Rome or Medieval interpretations either) and was a massive place. Even their own beliefs changed quite a bit and had no real set-upon appearance. Hesiod described them as beautiful women, while Aeschylus and Virgil described them as hideous, and descriptions go from as vague as “winged maidens” to as detailed as an entire poem in Dante describing their entire appearance. I like the interpretation the best where they have a fully human head and neck, an almost hybrid human/bird torso and body, and fully bird wings :D
