Who told you that?
By having good taste, it’s easier to appreciate the good even better by knowing what is shit. It’s completely unfeasible to like everything no matter how bad it is. And on top of that there’s a certain laughable pleasure in seeing how bad bad writing for a character can get. It’s not like its blind hate either, even though Starlight is a horrendous character on her own, I still enjoy many of her interactions with Trixie a Starlight sometimes makes an effective straight man to her antics.
Appreciate what is good, and laugh and deservedly criticize what is horrendous. I am very content with that.
I didn’t know that being bored and annoyed by a character was a good thing, I thought being happy and liking a character was good because pleasure, joy and happiness are positive things…
