Maybe the cave simply stopps magic. Notice that they have helmets. They are unicorns, they could light the way with horns.
Fair point. Perhaps the cases are different between a wrapping of chains and a hole in solid rock. Like, even if he was immobilized, Spike was still able to be moved around, whereas here, Twilight’s wedged in a hole in a wall, and can’t be so easily moved.
I dunno, maybe I’m overthinking things in trying to justify why she can’t just teleport. XD

We’ve never seen a pony teleport to get out of a tight space, so we can’t be certain if it would even work.
