So I ponified a dumpster fire because I was expecting a ton of arguing about Season 9 but it’s been super chill and most people seem to like it, but I didn’t want poor Rigmarole here to go to waste and uploaded her anyways :D
@Joseph Raszagal
Nah you have to cook a lizard tail and a fire flower for a fire defense potion. I found this really weird looking lizard. Want me to show it to you?
@mjangelvortex
It might just be because Cadance was made an alicorn a lot younger than Twilight. Being long-lived they probably age way different than normal ponies :D
@Joseph Raszagal
Same. I like her much better with the ponytail :D
@Badumsquish
You know, I figured that had more to do with Cadance being a teen during the flashback (since so was Shining Armor). But what you’re saying makes sense too.
@Joseph Raszagal
I also firmly believe that most people are better than that. The problem is the minority is just way too loud XD
@mjangelvortex
It was the most logical conclusion for Twilight. The whole “female royalty become alicorns and alicorns eventually get Celestia proportions” thing goes back as far as the introduction of Princess Cadance. She had Twilight proportions in flashbacks :D
@Vinylshadow
People were drawing “Twilestia” long before Faust did (hell, some of these pictures predate before Twilight even officially got her wings back in Season 3). Like these pictures:
So I wouldn’t be the one to jump the gun and assume that they got the idea from Lauren Faust. If anything, they could have gotten the idea from us (kinda like what happened with Equestria Girls).
That being said, I do think Faust did it better than most people by making her mane look like actual hair.
Faust’s interpretation is what inspired the horrific abomination that is Twilestia - unfortunately the animators forgot to give Twilight distinct lines in her mane and it just looks like an ugly purple sheet
@Joseph Raszagal
I had some issues with the finale but ultimately, I liked it.
@Paradox_Brony
I honestly haven’t seen much of that. Maybe I’m not looking in the right places but I’ve seen Soarin/Dash art of Rainbow Dash in her post time skip look and they get quite a bit of good comments on them.
@Joseph Raszagal
That all sounds about right to me. It’s better to have a civil discussion than to go have a witch hunt.
Making her hair longer (not ethereal like Celestia’s) still looks really pretty in my opinion. Had I designed her I would have gone with something similar to this picture (and maybe making her around the same size as Cadance as a compromise).
@Badumsquish
I’d like to think that any right-minded sort would dislike that mode of thinking. Having an opinion is fine, but bullying and harassing others simply because of an opinion is unacceptable.
Case in point, I understand that there’s plenty of people who dislike the final three episodes. And that’s fine. I don’t care if someone disagrees with me. The only time I really care is if they disagree hard enough to talk down to me or others, as though we’re idiots and our opinions aren’t equally as valid.
It’s a shame when things come to that. I mean, we’re all fans of the same show, right? =3
@Paradox_Brony
I still think the worst part of any fandom is the “you made something that offended me so a bunch of us are going to viciously bully and harass the shit out of you and act like we’re the morally superior ones standing up for what’s right” crowd. I hate that targeted harassment stuff :/
Reading through these comments, and having experience with several in the past, the one thing the finale proved is that shipping is always the most disgusting and destructive part of any community.
The fact that you can post a straight time skip AJ or RD x OC image and then make a fairly safe bet on someone calling you homophobic, over a cartoon character, is one of the most laughably pathetic parts of this community’s entire history.

Nah, not even that. Just go the Firewalking path down Course of the Dragon for a +5 to Fire Resistance and you’re golden, yo.
Just cook 4 Fireproof Lizards with a Chu-Chu Jelly and you are good to go.
No way, I don’t touch political or anything topical like that :P
Even if I had to redo all my writing so far, I’m ready to set fire to the year, forget it, and move on to 2021.
hehe 2020 bad topical humor
OC:2020
?Makes sense to me.
XD

Totally forgot about that, yo. Also completely forgot how adorable Candy Horse is with a ponytail in her mane <3

I’m fond of the art Lauren Faust did years ago of a taller Princess Twilight.

This show was one hell of a ride.
