I had that idea for a while now, with Rainbow forcing Starlight to exercise and lose weight, but she keeps cheating on her diet and doesn’t lose any weight, if not, gains more Ryan when she started. Then gets stuck in the portal again.

Now imagine that Starlight will be so fat, that she will have a problem to fit through the portal and go back. Similar to your fat Starlight trying to fit through the portal, but in other way.
