Chrysalis is a rather silly character despite all her efforts of appearing competent.

For the record, just so we’re clear:  
Tara Strong does Twilight Sparkle’s voice. (She probably wasn’t available for this episode just for one line.) (Tara Strong goes to lots of conventions and public appearances/videos.  
Kathleen Barr does the voice of Queen Chrysalis, Trixie, and other characters. (Kathleen Barr has never been to any conventions, never makes any public appearances, and has only been seen in one or two photos online and one Ed, Edd, n Eddy “behind the scenes” video.)

Her voice actress does Trixie. It wouldn’t be that big of a stretch to assume Trixie can pull off a good Twilight mockery.

I don’t know if you can really call it backstabbing when they all agreed at the end of the episode that they’d go back to trying to off each other once their common goals were achieved. Which I personally find refreshingly honest.
