Huawei has been caught conducting questionable business practices in the past, and I'm not talking about the yet unproven spy allegations either.
But yeah, I have to agree with you from a consumer's perspective that there needs to be more smartphone choices on the market. It's quite a shame Huawei isn't able to sport Google apps on their fine devices. They know their audiences well and are quite responsive too, unlike Samsung. I was even considering one of their phones at one point before this whole shenanigan occurred to replace my ZTE phone (another Chinese brand).
