yes, that's what crippling depression is. plus we don't know how long tension built up over her living a lie. she had to have noticed her career going down the tubes while she was expected to raise the kid that she didn't want in the first place. when she found out jet impregnated her on purpose in order to force her to give up her career, that was just the last straw. a big fucking giant ass straw, but delta couldn't have been blissfully content and well adjusted all the way up until that point.

I wouldn't know, I never got a diploma. can't imagine everyone's happy with what their diploma got them though. a junkyard's not all that bad when your only other option is to work 60 hour weeks in a soulless megacorporate monopoly.
