but it has happened in cartoons and live action shows for Adults though with the likes of Cletus from the Simpsons, Borat, Eric Cartman and his mother and several Game of Thrones characters
 
also id do like to see a kids cartoon or something give it a try one day by having a character who has parents that are siblings that isn’t an fan OC like the Loudcest kids

i bet one day their is going to be a kids’s cartoon (or live action show) that has an Incest couple in it considering that sibling along with son and mother incest has practically dominated the rule 34 or fanbase of most cartoons for many years and i’d like to see something related or referencing it in a kids cartoon or something

The irony is, had the show writers not said anything and just presented the episode as-is, the fandom would be all over this, and “Scootaloo’s aunts are a pair of lesbians” would’ve been fanon within seconds of the episode ending. I think half the reason folks are upset here is that, in some crackpot effort to be “woke”, the writers are stepping on everyone’s fun.

When I read your post it dawned to me that current team that makes this cartoon is rather bad at the whole “closure” thing…  
Hopefully G5 will have better crew.

I’m just going to be the middleman here and say most people from both side have idiotic arguments.
 
Shit like “Nope. Canon” is about as pathetic an argument you can get.  
And at the same time saying LyraBon is canon/not canon for the 1,000,000th time is pretty dumb as well.
 
There’s only one thing about this situation that is really true: Pretentious.
 
Season 9 so far, has mostly been about just doing stuff cause the show is ending.  
And even Season 8 had its cases.
 
This Season:
 
Lesbian Couple? Sure why not.  
Scootaloo’s Parents? Might as well, it’s the last season!
 
Season 8:
 
We need an orphan character! Who do we use?  
Gallus.
 
We need to show MORE characters becoming couples, who do we use?
 
Maud.
 
Who should she be with?
 
Some character who’s pretty much the exact same as her, but less interesting, and with an annoying tendency. “Technically”
 
Mud Briar.
 
And before people mention some stuff may have happened in the comics…  
It wasn’t until Season 7 where they even acknowledged the comics.
 
So, to me that argument is pretty dead in the water as well, since Season 9 was pretty much decidedly the last season while Season 7 was airing.
 
I’ll mention I’ve made some pretentious arguments myself, namely involving Sunset (go figure.)  
But just cause I made them doesn’t make them not pretentious, but I can say a lot of people here do the exact same thing.

“Lyrabon” is a “ascended fanon” of 2 background ponies that gained following because fans liked them (like Derpy).  
You can see them as “best friends” or “lovers” or anything you want, because they are at this point “fan characters made canon” (just like Derpy).  
So do not go around saying shit like “You’ll have a hard time convincing anyone LyraBon are not a couple.”
