Does Equestria not have a single team of elite magic users or anything? With Arcane magic books being that accessible, you think there would be a powerful magic army that would be ready for the next villain...

 
But then again, I guess shouldn't question a show called "Friendship is Magic" because that's the point of the show. But they introduced so much cool lore and world building, it would be a waste to not go the route of a full fledged adventure series :/
