Alcoholism, when you’re the guardian of a minor, is abuse. You’re denying the child their guardian.

As for the other stuff, when the artist themselves is the source of it, it kinda taints the characters involved.

Alcoholism isn’t abuse towards Apogee, it’s an addiction (you could argue it’s Delta being abusive toward herself which isn’t far from the truth.) Her father doesn’t molest her, you are confusing non-canon “just for fun” material with the actual story. Only the content tagged “Delta Vee’s Junkyard” is canon to the story.
