but how do you know that when they said lyrabon was platonic then they went and got married… who’s to say the same isnt true for fluttercord? misleading news is a thing dude… they say one thing to mislead you then drop the truth…

ah but when angel bunny and fluttershy switched bodies Angel bunny mentioned at some point Fluttershy wanting to marry discord… i’m still not sure whether or not that was angel bunny being angel bunny or whether he knew something the fans suspected.

But still discord and flutter shy remained freinds and only one of the mane 6 got shipped which was cheese it was obvious with the hints of celestiacord it’s obvious discord like celestia but the finale can be left to interpretation
LOL when the Premiere aired, I asked Big Jim if it was a coincidence that Grogars magic look the same as Discord magic from S2 premiere. I was suspecting that Grogar created Discord. And he said it was just a random color used. Now i see that most thing he said was to mislead the audience to surprise them. Same with him saying that Fluttershy and Discord or LyraBon are just platonic friends or that none of Mane6 will ever marry. All that to setup the epilogue.

Seriously. There were no signs that Grogar was Discord, he never showed any semblance of Discord’s personality. They even bothered to get a different voice actor! It honestly feels like they just threw the twist of him being Discord in at the last minute because oh no we can’t have a new, interesting villain in the final seasons, let’s just have the same old “blah friendship bad” villains for the finale instead.
I think Dubuc and Haber went full Rian Johnson with this Finale. Lady Writers were setting up real Grogar like JJ Ambrams did Force Awakens. And they just shat the bed with a forced twist that only made Discord look like the villain for the end of the show. I knew this would happen when i foind the 2017 email leaks that revealed Haber story editing this season. Such a shame.
I honestly expect someone to do up a gif of Discord being like King Dedede and Duck Hunt in the two Smash Character trailers, laughing it up until the REAL Grogar shows up from out of nowhere to smash the guy away.

There is no excuse, that is so stupid and forced that anyone can think of better ideas like, with that “Grogar is the father of Discord” thing, the bell works more like puppet strings for Discord since that was the intention of Grogar, controlling his greatest creation, but it was useless in the past because it was too much power for only one to handle.
So the solution to that problem is that more people will interact with that campaign, so the friendship that formed the villains paid off, handling it as if it were a musical band.
I like Discord, he’s one of my favorite characters, but this twist really sucks. I always wanted there to be a villain on the show who understood friendship and didn’t see it as a weakness, and yet didn’t get reformed. Grogar seemed to be setting up to be that kind of villain, but nooooooo, the writers wanted to be “sUbVeRsIvE”, and pulled this stupid twist out their butts.
I didn’t think it was possible, but somehow the writers has transformed one of my most favorite characters in the series into one of my most despised characters in the series in just one episode. That’s gotta be a record or something.
