That is true. But I still also stand by my stubbornness of that I never wanted Discord redeemed back then and I want Chrysalis to be redeemed instead. So seeing Discord get redeemed made me want to see Chrysalis redeemed way more since I thought it would be a fair trade-off that the fandom got something they didn’t want because I got something I didn’t want. But I guess it has to be the fandom’s job to make this happen in the end.  
Also if you wanted a Flowey for the world of MLP:FiM, we’ve got Sombra, the Storm King, any other villain that the IDW comics push out, and if you want to count Equestria Girls, Principal Cinch is a Flowey as well. I never saw Chrysalis as a true Flowey and the revelations of their teamwork in Frenemies showed that maybe they all aren’t complete Floweys. (Despite all this, I still imagined Chrysalis’s post-defeat dialogue after the finale mirrors Flowey’s.)  
I do think the message of “not everything can be solved by being nice” is important. But these aren’t the villains I wanted to be associated with this.

Regardless, it seems everyone has a glaring blindspot for permanent solutions to recurring problems.
 
No one currently known would help them, but who can say? You never know what’s going to crawl out of the woodwork next and that’s without considering the potential expanded universe outside the show.

Who would free them, that we know of? Would Discord be lackadaisical this time if he found out Tirek went missing yet again, and likely inevitably senses him draining magic, with the other two likely in stow wherever they are, assuming the alliance didn’t fall apart because they couldn’t help but pin the blame on one another, due to how notoriously bad they are at taking responsibility? If it ever happened again, barring some unforeseen circumstances, they could go in guns-blazing, most powerful mages ready to stomp them, unlike in S4, because Tirek wouldn’t have someone like Discord protecting him.
 
They’re probably not getting the bell again, in any case. That opportunity for getting a power boost/power theft probably is next to impossible to pull off again, because we have no idea what happened to it, do we? I have my doubts they made whatever they did with it public information, unless proven otherwise. Could be in Discord’s dimension, could be buried at the bottom of the ocean, who knows?
 
All of that being said, having them go the way of Sombra probably would’ve been the better option in my eyes, to be honest, but the rating needed for them killing off a kid, psychopath or not, is likely too high. If they ever got freed somehow and inevitably caused trouble again (I don’t think it would be overly easy to undo a petrification spell Celestia, Luna, and Discord cooperated on to begin with though), I’m not inclined to think they’d be getting out of it alive if they lost again.
 
What even happened to their statue anyway? I’m not sure it was seen afterwards.

And in this case, the villains were three Floweys, in that being nice to them wouldn’t solve anything. It certainly failed with Cozy Glow, because she’d thrown every last bit of kindness and appreciation the heroes gave her away in cold-blood in the S8 finale, it failed with Tirek when he decided that his own brother pleading with him to halt with their plans wasn’t enough to dissuade him, and it certainly failed when Starlight tried after Chrysalis brought losing everything on herself.
 
Hell, none of them have a backstory alleviating their actions. They just are.
 

 
They all remind me of the King from Deltarune, the one who repays your mercy by mercilessly attacking you, after making you think he has a softer side.
 
The world isn’t perfect, and having it to where you can’t reason with everyone is a good way of showing that.
 
The moral of Undertale just wasn’t “violence solves nothing.”

They literally have no qualms about torturing children, or murdering them. They failed at every turn to show they even redeeming qualities to our heroes. That bait-and-switch in Frenemies utterly failed to make an impact on them for the better.

From my perspective so long as the final takedown was a group effort done by friends coming together to defeat a common foe who all outright rejected and hated the concept of friendship as a whole? I am fine with it. Besides its not like they killed them like the storm king

But having them be completely unable to be redeemed still goes completely against the spirit of the show… I still refuse to believe that they are incapable of reformation. Rhats kind of the point behind the epilogue series i am making(already has 3 pics)

I still find it hilarious people think these three murderous assholes could be redeemed in any way

One other thing I want to add is that one of my reasons that influenced my views on wanting a better ending for Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy is the Undertale series. Yeah, you can all be tired of how that game is brought up all the time, call it a dated fad/meme, whatever, but its moralities of love and friendship can be easily replicated in MLP:FiM. Now I’d be all for seeing more FIGHTing happen between big bads but when they’re defeated, I expect to see somepony select MERCY in the end.

Just give her some time. She’s gonna be completely supervised for the time being but the ponies watching her can choose not to talk to her if she just wants to take her rage out in privacy. The guards are gonna hear a lot of loud noises followed by Chrysalis screaming out swears and empty threats and ending with some sobbing.

YES. While I don’t hate the finale completely like most others have been, (To me, the finale has things I like and don’t like. Depending on either the good or bad outweighing the other is something I’d prefer to not think about for now.) I do have a bone to pick with the decision of how Chrysalis’s, Tirek’s and Cozy Glow’s final fates turned out.  
Even with the choice of choosing to use Grogar as a red herring, I still expected a happy ending for the villain trio considering how they acted in Frenemies after retrieving Grogar’s Bell. But nope. Let’s just see Discord fuck everypony’s lives even more and even fuck over the three villains who could have ended up with something better if Discord actually used better communication with his friends.  
Thank god headcannons, fanfics and fan comics exist for all of us to patch up this mistake and give Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy proper endings.

I agree. Before I saw all the leaks of the finale, I was hoping for an ultimate showdown where all the heroes goes against the overpowered Grogar and his servants. Having a great battle which gives chills on your back, kinda like the one we had in the season 4 finale, but way better. And after that, when the evil was defeated, Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy Glow get’s a final chance to join the right side or face their wrath. The three would join the good side and the villain boss gets punished with either banishment of imprisonment. Wouldn’t that sound so much better than a stupid plot twist that makes no sense? And completely ruins the effort of a great character? Not to mention the instant swift of death because Friendship isn’t Magic anymore?
 
Why even give us a teaser in episode 8 where all the villains finally starting to realize how much value friendship has?
