The next big villain was a unicorn around that time, but she has no resemblance to Luster Dawn. She is an alicorn named Opaline Arcana.

Given what happened in G5 movie, along with a dictator villain, Luster is kinda sus now.

Luster Dawn was an idealistic unicorn filly with every advantage, being groomed for greatness by the princess herself. But sometimes, those who fly nearest the rising sun fall the furthest into darkness. Luster grew tired of waiting for her chance to shine. Deep in the restricted section of the Canterlot Library, she found spells and artefacts which could place her on the throne overnight.
 
Now, as MORROW BLAZE, she threatens to engulf Equestria in the flames of war. With the Elements of Harmony in her possession, it seems nopony can stop her. If there is hope, it lies in another world entirely - beyond the magic mirror, where ponies walk on two legs ….
