If I think back to my days watching discovery channel, even a animal that’s an omnivore, like a wolf, can’t go too long without meat, it will eventually Have to eat meat or else it will become malnourished. So… I’ll just write this off as the writers being derpy. :x

I don’t think that Fluttershy would accept to receive immortality or to have age spells performed on her. Having worked her entire life with animals, I am sure that she understands the “great circle of life” and how it is necessary for the old to pass away for the new to flourish, and she would not want to go against nature.

Amusingly, the times when Discord has his magic removed are when the show finally remembers who he’s based on (Q from Star Trek: The Next Generation, which is why he’s voiced by John De Lancie) and treat him accordingly.

Does Fluttershy want to live forever? Does Discord want to live forever?  
I’d actually find it interesting that if while Discord has his full power he can’t undo his own immortality and he can’t grant anyone else immortality. But whenever something nullifies his magic or sucks his magic out of him, he suddenly becomes mortal until his magic is restored and he’s Very afraid of being injured, hurt, hungry or feeling the sensation of anything threatening his ability to stay alive, you know, the things regular ponies going through every day.

well, inspite of the fact that we’ve proven he can be easily be defeated by a magical entities superior or in greater numbers than himself, he has enough magic to basically do whatever he wants. I don’t really see any reason as to why he could extend her lifespan to match his own. After all he’s going to be pretty depressed when she dies of old age.

I actually think its a little bit disappointing that fluttershy still ages inspite of the fact that she never fully recovered from her vampirism and that her boyfriend is omnipotent and could probably give her as much time as he wants her too. Not to mention that starlight can perform age spells and they’re best friends with an alicorn princess that should possess the magic neccessary to postpone their inevitable deaths.

She’s technically had then since the end of Season 3. She’s just never bothered learning it since she’s more interested in the magic of friendship

Twilight’s full-size horse model doesn’t look as unbalanced in this shot as it does in that final photograph scene. The regal mane with squared-off ends still looks bizarre.

So it happens off-camera then. I guess that because of Twilight’s apparent change in size in this clip. Besides, if it does require a pony to have the abilities of all three races in order to become an alicorn, that definitely puts earth ponies, unicorns, and pegasi on more equal ground when it comes to their potential to become alicorns.
