Hey, we could infer that these two are personal guards. Note that we have a sun spear and a moon spear, one each. They’re not just guarding the door, they’re each guarding their personal charge. There may well be a long forgotten proviso that they have to stay with there charges under and all circumstances on pain of glue, even when commanded to leave.
