Err this is embarrassing but I am actually quite intrigued by such practices, of course, I do not believe in every single thing as I also have a high interest in some sciences, but I am very open to the idea. I first heard of it from a YouTuber called Chaos55t (I think that is how you spell it) Apparently she is a Wiccan, I had no idea that community was a thing in today’s age but I must say I am fascinated by it.
I myself am spiritual, I don’t follow any major religions but im open to the ideas they have. If im correct Wiccans are very open in what they believe in too.
Now as for Luna, at least in my AU, I see her as being very quiet and a bit shy about doing such things. Given the stigma of her past. Just an interesting concept I wanted to put in art form. ;3
i actually met a lady who practiced witch craft at a festival i went to. she was my tent neighbor. she was a hell of a character. realities version of “normality” was certainly not present with her. very energetic and out going lady! …and then theres me…the quiet shy guy… oh dear.
probably one of the nicest people i have ever met in my life. hell of a sense of humor…and also quite flirty…certainly made me, the quiet guy, turn red. although im pretty sure she did that just for the lol’s.
but seriously, she did practice it. what ever “witch craft” is. (honestly a lot of it is lost on me, but im certainly not against it)
on the last day of the music festival morning she came out of her tent and said “Right! i have a potion for you to drink!”. i shit you not. she had a smallish vial. then of course with more teasing:
“Just kidding its alcohol.”
so i drank it and GOD was it awful. to this day i have no idea what she mixed together in that vial. and of course. she plays one final trick on me. “Just kidding now you drank that your mine for ever!” while getting uncomfortably close.
then once again “Just kidding it was alcohol”
she certainly knew how to “pull fast ones” il give her that. but she did teach me a valuable lesson. sometimes the kindest people on our planet practice the strangest arts.
…Not entirely sure what this has got to do with this picture how ever! seeing celestia call luna the witch of darkness just threw me back to that particular five day festival i went to. and in a way, luna kinda reminds me of her. i believe her name was Amelia.
