There was propaganda depicting the Nazi's as bad. Does that mean the Nazi's weren't bad?
Just because something is the subject of propaganda doesn't immediately mean that that thing is the underdog and needs to be defended. Many terrible things are the subject of propaganda and were terrible regardless of what that propaganda said about them.
