Have you watched Mao Mao Heroes of Pure Heart Valley, I recommend it

The only worthy cartoons currently running right now are Ducktales, Miraculous, Tangled, Hilda, Big Hero 6 and Amphibia, with the only worthy coming up being The Owl House. However, three of them, Ducktales, Tangled and Hilda is VERY likely they’re gonna end next year, so even less shows to enjoy soon enough. Will 4 mere shows be enough to keep interest on the media going… I don’t think so…

We will never forget this renaissance. But most of all…

Oh yeah, I forgot Static was allowed in the DCAU considering the problems with Milestone. Still a surprise he was still allowed in Young Justice Outsiders.

The second one, yes. But I’m sure we’ll see another one within a decade.

Good series? I mean, subjective. Those are only two cartoons. There were many more during the 2000’s, which up to this day is considered “millenium animation”. As I’ve stated before this being the digital entertainement age, it is far more difficult to categorize, as cartoons hold far bigger and stronger bases and therefore the industry is going to be booming for years to come, regardless what some may say about “quality”.

I was approaching it in terms of when good series debuted, more so than concluded. Or otherwise. As an example, Spongebob is certainly part of the late end of the cartoon renaissance, even though it is still going and going and going, and is a shadow of its former self, it is a child of 1999 and not 2019.
 
The Simpsons is one of the crowning jewels of the cartoon ren, despite it also being in a horrid zombified state. It is nonetheless a creature of the nineties with a foot in the backdoor of ‘89.
 
Unless you mean you disagree that this would qualify as a second ren, in which case I can kinda see your point.
 
As for the attention span comment I hope that wasn’t leveled explicitly at me, I’m certainly not somebody who forgets the things I loved. Rather, I dwell on them perhaps too much.

I disagree. I think the timespan between rhe first and supposed second is too short. Like Ed Edd n Eddy, a cartoon cartoon, was still in production in 2008. And numerous favoured shows broadcasted in the noughties. The early Tens simply introduced more cartoons that garnered massive attention. That’s it.
 
I think people’s attention spans have gone to the toilet, or they don’t even remember what they watched, lol.  
It is the age of the internet after all, fanbases and revolving trends run rampant.

Late 80’s through to the early 2000’s was the cartoon renaissance. My thoughts precisely.
 
This would be a second renaissance. Except for Steven Universe.

Whoa. Wait. Isn’t the renesance era of animation the late 80’s or so? This is the “Millenium age of animation”, if you are going by TV Tropes.

No, he’s not. Renaissance has been used for all sorts of things, including the Disney Renaissance (the title of the era that started with The Little Mermaid and ended with Tarzan).

For the record, the DCAU is only Superman: The Animated Series, Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Justice League, and Justice League: Unlimited.

Why is the DCAU on there? It officially ended in 2006 with Justice League Unlimited. Sure some of the animated movies might kind of (I guess) be a part of it as well but I don’t think anyone really counts those.

But Ducktales is still going. And Amphibia is awesome. Oh and Owl House looks good. Infinity Train’s great and it seems to have more to come. Loud House is great. Oh and you should definitely check out Mao Mao of Pure Heart. Oh and Tangled’s on its final season but it’s fantastic. Big Hero Six is fantastic too…
