methinks Katrina really fucked up big time in this regard; she should’ve just said “Sunset’s sexuality can be whatever you want it to be.” instead, she chose to add fuel to the fire (that is the drama that drives the EqG fandom) by saying something she cannot prove true and claiming it to be so despite the contrary – essentially, she stated a falsehood.

Not only that, the statement is incorrect.
I, in fact, can do something about it: for example - point out (as several other users already did) that Sunset
Shimmer’s alleged bisexuality is never shown, discussed or referenced in any way in the Equestria Girls show itself.

P.S. The art also lacks “mouthpiece” tag. Described as “Using a canon character to further an opinion, agenda, or message (whether positive or negative) they would not normally have” it fits the image to a t.

1. I’m going to start from the part that the image is essentially a “flamebait”. Urban dictionary offers several definitions for the term, but the one I consider the best is the following:
    
   Flame baiting is setting up a situation for you to get flamed usually on a forum. You don’t actually flame, but make  
   it hard to respond without flaming. Its setting people up on the internet so they look like the bad guy. Generally  
   Looked down upon.
    
   Personally, I would also add that flamebaiting can be unintentional. However, it doesn’t make it less of a flamebait.
    
2. The first reason I consider it a flamebait is, obviously the text.
    
   It is worded in a way that easily can (and judging by the amount of downvotes was) perceived as obnoxious.
    
   Not only that, the statement is incorrect.

   Obnoxious and incorrect statement is making it pretty hard to respond without flaming or sarcasm.
    
3. Then there is the composition.  
   Radical redesign of a character, uncharacteristic behavior, adding artist’s own social views combined with an obnoxious sounding statement creates a generally repulsive impression, prompting a more aggressive response. I.e. “flame”
    
   These are my reasons for calling the image “terrible” earlier.
