There are roughly a bajillion Coffee Shop AUs out there, man, and some of them are very well written– headcanon means you can do whatever the heck you want.
 
All it takes to validate pretty much any headcanon, no matter how deviant, is to assume that the stories are happening in a real word somewhere in the multiverse and the show is just a semi-documentary retelling of it which sanitizes or rearranges many things because it’s aimed at kids. Even something as ghastly as Fallout: Equestria/Project Horizons is near universally accepted as simply being an alternate universe.

I don’t need to be happy with the show to have a good time, I’ve got plenty other hobbies. And the ship was only implied by writers who haven’t even cared to watch an older episode of the show so I’m just taking this with a grain of salt.

I mean I believe people are allowed to ship whoever they want (within reason), we as random internet commenters don’t exactly have any authority on the matter of unironically telling people who they can and can’t ship but okay sure you’re entitled to your own opinion

I think it could have been a lot better if they removed any hinting at ships (except background characters like Lyrabon) and only change their outfits, they shouldn’t be greyed already. Otherwise, I think it was a nice send off.

Agreed. This epilogue was probably the worst thing to ever happen to this series.

I’m not against Shipinka, but while he’s inside the fendom, when all this is shown as a hint in the series, it becomes disgusting. Episode 26 is a fan service, work worse than fan fiction.  
Shipping - is good as long as it stays inside the fendom. And not shown in the series.
 
And I also didn’t like the design of the aged characters, I not want to remember them like that at the end of the series.  

Shippers are some of the worst people on the planet and there is nothing you can do to convince me otherwise.

It’s all up for interpretation, really, except for Pinkie and Cheese– and, y’know, lyrabon– and even then there are all different kinds of open marriage they could be in; I dunno why people get so heated about shipping, it’s all headcanon and you can pretty much do anything with headcanon.

I don’t think in any way this scene was confirmation of AppleDash, but even if it was why cater to such a niche group like that? Are they not aware that each of the Mane 6 are shipped to every other. Heck, the one pony who is the most commonly shipped with the Mane 6 is RD. This far from the something the fandom as whole wanted and just ends up pissing more people off than pleasing. This is why you never cater to shippers. Ever.

It’s hilarious that this is getting snarled at so hard when it’s just as valid an interpretation of the actual dialogue as the assumption that there was Appledash happening. Applejack not wanting outside help with running the farm has been canon since Episode Four.

Ignore whatever you want about it, but that’s your headcanon and it doesn’t apply to anyone else. I choose to see this scene as Rarity having asked Dash to hang around and keep an eye on AJ to make sure she doesn’t try to overdo it while Rarity is away in Yakyakistan, but that’s my headcanon and anyone else can have whatever different one they want.
