It has to be more than one year. Because in Holiday Unwrapped Applejack ||has the Geode in the flash backs talking about the Flim Flam Brothers she said that "one year they stole the ladders", "another year they debottomed our baskets, "last year they gave Applebloom a worm" that means at least 3 years have past since they got the geodes.||
I mean you could argue I'm looking to much into it but I think its reasonable to say at least 3 years have gone by since the beginning of the series. Though the whole thing is rather pointless anyway since just about any timeline you make for it falls apart and doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
