And I’d like to clarify a little farther why I don’t particularly have interest, it’s a big one that everyone seems not to get, if you watch this guy named Bricky review Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, he gives the same reason for not really liking Anime. Here is the reason.

-Artstyle

I just cannot get behind the artstyle of it. It turns me away from it. Every gif I’ve seen on derpibooru since the show came out, I am immediately turned away by the art style of the show.
It’s just not for me. I did also point out how it is one of those types of shows I’ve just never enjoyed, even as a kid, my enjoyment of those types of shows were very limited.

That: @AdriCureuil

Also, yeah, I have something to say about this:

@PastelBacon
I don’t need to watch the show, because the premise of it is not one I like.
I watched one clip, and it’s exactly what I thought it was.

There is a high probability that after watching not only the first two episodes, but after six more - you may like this series. Again, this does not claim to be ambitious as a replacement for the previous generation. Why am I saying that I might like it? Because I talked with those who like subsequent episodes more than the first episodes. (=

Just a fun fact.

Peppa pig treat it’s audience like morons even having a narrator acting more like audio assist for the blind narrating over literally everything
Durabiznik

@Ihhh
I fully expected it was gonna be peppa-the-pig kinda trash, something you put on for the toddlers to get them off your back for a while. Everything pointed towards it. But I gave in to the screeching of OP and his ilk, and now I want those ten minutes of my life back.

The term “true fan” was indeed badly chosen, I addmit. It’s just that I don’t like people who criticize somethings they haven’t seen.

And for my opinion about the show, for now I’ve only seen the first two episodes. And yes, it is not extraordinary. But Pony Life does not have the same ambition as Friendship is Magic. For a slice of life/comedy serie, for now that not bad. Maybe I would change my mind after seeing the rest of the series, who knows…

Again, by this logic.
You can’t be a true fan of anything if you lose interest at some point.

Let me reiterate this.

I don’t need to watch the show, because the premise of it is not one I like.
I watched one clip, and it’s exactly what I thought it was.

This kind of stuff is not for me.
I’m not going to sit here and be labeled “not a true fan”

Because a show takes a direction that I, am IN GENERAL, not interested in.

When Teen Titans became Teen Titans Go!, I didn’t watch that either, because the premise of that kind of show DOES NOT INTEREST ME.

Does that mean I’m not a true Teen Titans fan?
Hell no, Teen Titans is one of my favorite shows of all time.

The only misconception is, you HAVE to watch something before you can decide on if you like it or not.
This is NOT true.

In some cases it can be that way, but not ALL cases.

Pony Life is a style of show that I have NEVER enjoyed.
Even as a young kid, that style of show was among the least enjoyable for me.

@Claw
This gives the assumption the only way to be a true fan of something is to watch EVERYTHING on it.
This is like being told you’re not a true Dragon Ball fan because you don’t want to watch Dragon Ball GT, or you’re not a true Naruto fan because you don’t want to watch Boruto.
@PastelBacon
Wow, thats a one way to twist my words.
I did say “dont judge before watching”, not “you arent a true pony fan unless you will watch and love everything pony related”.
@Claw
No, you’re the one that’s twisted things.”

Excuse me, wtf? Okay, that’s understandable. We will return to your mistake later, it does not change from the one to whom your words are directed.
Claw misunderstood what exactly you were talking about. This, theoretically, is his mistake. But…

@PastelBacon
@Claw
The IMAGE is what mentions “watch it or you aren’t a true fan.”

And it is! This image mentions the same thing that Claw mentions. “A true fan will not judge something by rumors before he sees it himself,” and so on.
So those who twist the words are still mostly you.

Like I don’t have enough to do without follow comments here and eliminate misunderstandings… What no one even asked for. (=

No, you’re the one that’s twisted things.
I simply stated where I stand from based on the thing this image says.
You just bit on bait that wasn’t even there.
The IMAGE is what mentions “watch it or you aren’t a true fan”

Wow, thats a one way to twist my words.
I did say “dont judge before watching”, not “you arent a true pony fan unless you will watch and love everything pony related”.
I mentioned this fandom because litteraly entire point of people giving it a chance was because how many people did judge Friendship is Magic by being a kids show for little girls and nothing else. And then some people gave it a chance.
Same with Equestria Girls where only part of this fandom did decided to give it a chance when others was judging before watching and now here we are again at the same EXACTLY spot.
I guess people will never learn….

@Claw
I still hold true on another type.
I’m not saying to trash it, however…
I do not like the argument of this.
“I am a true fan so I watch and judge later.”
This gives the assumption the only way to be a true fan of something is to watch EVERYTHING on it.

This is like being told you’re not a true Dragon Ball fan because you don’t want to watch Dragon Ball GT, or you’re not a true Naruto fan because you don’t want to watch Boruto.

It can be maybe because the medium has started to bore you, or you just aren’t interested in the general direction.

I don’t condone completely trashing something
BUT I also find the “true fan” label, completely stupid.

Sigh, another stupid pony drama. You would think that after 10 years in this fandom you would see more people willing to give a chance before judging but nope….. people STILL refuse to learn on their past mistakes.

Yeah, that’s supposedly the idea if the information I heard was accurate. Two 11 minute episodes in the 30 minutes with commercials.
PastelBacon

@Background Pony #3704

If anything, they might do it like Cartoon Network then.
Where it’s two episodes in one.

CN does that all the time with “30 minute episodes”
Which are just really two 11 minute episodes, extended to 15 minutes each with advertisements.
Background Pony #2280
@PastelBacon

That’s perfectly reasonable. I too have concerns over the designs. Some people say that the commercial was using its own animation but the concept art doesn’t really look much different. I’m also concerned about the run time which is supposedly 11 minutes per episode instead of 24.

Alright, this is getting ridiculous.

So let me preface this.

I’m someone who likes to make myself crystal clear when people like you come along.

I do not like the way Pony Life looks.
I do not think it will be a good show.
That is simply my opinion.

I will not go around telling people to boycott it.
I will not call people who think it might be good “idiots.”

I will let people who want to see if the show will be any good, do so.

I called you out with the “consume product” line because you made it clear from the start and with these newer replies that you are the kind that is like “OMG A HATER!” if you see even the smallest negative detail.

There are civil people on both sides.

There are some who don’t like the idea of the show or how it looks, but won’t force things.
There are some who enjoy the concept, and are interested to see what it will bring but don’t try to say “Hey, consume product, you’re bad for not liking this”

You are one of the ones who do not think for more than 2 seconds and group everyone who might not like the show together.

So again.

To reiterate.

I do not like the way Pony Life looks.
I do not like the concept of Pony Life after reading the debut synopsis.
I do not think the show will be good.

These are simply my OPINION, something that COULD be proven WRONG.

If it turns out to get a positive rating, or more synopsis come out that look interesting, I will tune in.

It is an opinion to not like something, just as it is opinion to like something.

There is no “facts” when it comes to liking, no matter if something is VERY LIKEABLE, or very UNLIKEABLE.
