In an attempt to get used to drawing regularly again, I designed a new Sugarverse Next Gen character!
 
Red Velvet, also known by Polka Dot or Dottie by her fathers, is the daughter of Cheese Sandwich and Party Favor. Wanting a child but preferring to not use magic to conceive, the two turned to Favor’s close friend Night Glider. Glider became their surrogate and carried their foal, all while being coddled by both stallions. They both took great care of their pregnant friend, cooking her meals and giving her hoof massages so Glider could have as little stress as possible.
 
The moment Red Velvet was born, she had her fathers wrapped around her little hoof. It wasn’t surprising to anyone that Red had the signature uncontrollable curly mane and tail, considering her family tree. While their daughter takes after Cheese Sandwich when it comes to her Earth Pony appearance, Red’s talents are in line with Party Favor. Similarly to Favor, Red Velvet loves being in the circus! She is a talented trapeze and aerial silk performer and takes great joy in her work. While Red doesn’t work in the same circus company as Party Favor, she regularly practices with her father whenever she has time off from performing. This mare is enthusiastic and playful, but Red can very self-conscious about her appearance and is trying to learn to love herself more.
