Just remember when reading the Bible, if in English (as many translations are) then English is void of a significant chunk of original Hebrew meaning. Hebrew words are often related in ways you wouldn’t expect, and if you don’t study the Bible deeply in Hebrew, you’re going to miss things.
 
I’m not supposing that I”m perfect, but I have been reading Jeff Benner’s Ancient Hebrew Research Senter Site, and while I don’t take everything at face value there, that which I studied by his site and also by using Strong’s Hebrew did help. I don’t think Jeff Benner gets absolutely everything right, but I’ve found it a good place to look.

I am, and understand that, but it’s not like the atheists bashing christians constantly in the DA comments are any better is my point. I’ve dealt with my fair share of religious-fanatics, and atheist-fanatics alike, they’re the same brand of crazy.
 
Plus the artist even admitted this is just a shitpost so riling up the religious, and sacreligious alike was probably intentional.

Honestly, most of us christians aren’t like that, and we don’t like “fire and brimstone preachers,” or “hollier then thou” christians either.  
(Same goes for “smarter then thou” atheists.) There’s even a christian bumper sticker that reads, “Next time you think you’re perfect, try walking on water.” Basically, meaning nobody’s perfect, not even yourself.)
 
So honestly it’s understandable why we get tired of being stereotyped, or demonized, as such, and things like this basically just fan the flames of hatred torwards ourselves, and our faith. (As I said, in the DA comments I see people basically just shitting on christianity, and such, or saying they wish we didn’t exist.)
 
Still, we can still take a joke sometimes though, in fact, the Simpsons character Ned Flanders (a total stereotype) is actually quite popular with christian Simpsons fans, (Or at least better then how people have reacted over Apu in recent years.) Even Matt Groening said he’d rather live next to somebody like Ned, then Homer.

Actually, there’s people in the DA comments saying things like the Bible is “cringe/fairytale/badfanfic/ect.” and refering to belivers/christianity as “delusional,” & such actually, and people basically circle-jerking about how evil christianity/religion is whenever discussing it. A guy even remarks it’s a “fanbase he wishes never existed.” (Which is ironically something I see people say about bronies/MLP-fans.)  
So yes, actually there is quite a bit of anti-religious sentement from commenters responding over there.
 
I rarely discuss religion, but I have caught crap for it here, as well from a few, and I even recall an atheist here trying to spend hours trying to convert me to atheism. So honestly, I feel both religious-fanatics, and atheist-fanatics can be annoying.
 
PS: That one guy on DA I was conversing with blocked me for no reason, so I can’t respond to him… Nice guy…

Except the artists isn’t trying to attack all Christians or Christianity in general, they where only doing this as a response towards a hardcore Christian spouting nonsense on twitter. Besides im sure it’s easier to look at the image instead of going into the comment section.
 
And I took a look into the comments section, and it doesn’t seem as bad as you are making it out to be. I was expecting a lot morecomments, but most of the ones there are people just going “lol funny”,and I saw people calling the art cringe and telling the artist to stop, so it doesn’t seem as “anti-Christian” as you made it sound.
 
Also I think the forums would be a better place for talking about things like religion.

Ehhh… I understand religious fanatics, and “Fire and Brimstone” preachers are annoying, but I kinda get tired of seeing my faith get shat on by this fandom all the time. (Unsurprisingly, in the DA comments people are all, “Durhurhur! Religionz iz dum!1”)
 
I can take a joke sometimes, but It gets old. It’s like later-seasons-of “Family Guy” level of comedy.
