While ~the fandom~ inarguably has a vastly inflated sense of its own importance, if Yootoob’s idiotic policy changes were solely responsible, Hasbro probably would have ganked all their other MLP videos at the same time.

You do know, there’s a difference between criticism and an endless spam/hate bandwagon.
No point letting people share their thoughts if it’s just going to be pointless and vile blabber. Back when the MLP Hasbro channel did enable comments I recall it was mostly spam that looked like it was written by a 4 year old tapping the keyboard. Besides, the goal is to let people watch videos only - nothing more, nothing less.
Heck, if I were a youtuber I’d disable comments on every video. If people can’t type with a functioning brain, why bother?
Because Hasbro is a bunch of babies who are associated with a bunch of ultrasensitive elites who CAN’T ACCEPT ANY FORM OF CRITICISM. It’s why many TV or Film studios always disable the comments section nowadays.
