If it helps, Ponylife looks like it will genuinely be pretty good. From the enthusiasm Boulder shows for MLP, to the set of really good writers, to returning VAs, it looks good. Contrasting to Teen Titans Go (Clearly the worst case scenario), Ponylife won’t be a parody of FiM, but a continuation. It will still try to have wholesome messages, balanced with humor, and characters. I think perhaps the only bummer news for some fans is that Hasbro is going to not tool with FiM’s formula too much. No big refresh of new main characters, no new universe, no great tonal shift.  
But, given how many people love FiM, it is probably the right move.

More recent info says that PonyLife is actually setting the movie up, making the movie part of the PonyLife series. Which makes sense, given that the leaks called for MLP to become a darker series for an older audience, while Hasbro has officially said that MLP will remain as FiM was, a show targeted towards younger viewers. Ponylife, done properly, will fit that goal quite nicely.

Ehhhh… G5 was never announced, it was found in a leaked email 3-4 years ago. Given that G5 hasn’t even been whispered by anyone for years now, it’s probably scrapped. It looks like G4 will be the last big generation shift for a while. PonyLife and the movie sound like they are building on G4, and we don’t have any info past the movie.

Still haven’t heard anything about these clip show specials. Sounds to me like Hasbro just wants to focus on Pony Life and G5, FiM is dead to them.

Ehhhh as long as over is defined as transitioning into a sort of sequel series. PonyLife is basically FiM with a new artstyle. They didn’t even get rid of side characters, apparently.

Jim said they’re ALREADY done and send to Hasbro. The only thing left to do is them releasing it. I’m almost certain they’re just waitin’ for the right time to release them.
 
I somehow have the feeling they’ll be included with a DVD box set of the whole series. Though someone will eventually post ’em online.

Why shouldn’t they want it? It’s profitable for them and companies like Hasbro always wants money. Not to mention FiM has been a great success for them and still is.

Maybe Hasbro doesn’t WANT to do clip shows? Those don’t usually tend to have the best reputation.

It’s all depends how Hasbro will release them this year they’re focusing on Pony Life

It’s six; one for each pony.

Probably coming in early 2020. I think this might take the place of a EQG series for the first half of the year, while EQG is getting set for Ponylife.
