I send the original artist a note about it. They make good art, and I think they will understand the proportion issue.

I was born and raised in the deep South so I learned firsthand some of the negative stereotypes. Personally if the proportions were corrected, the only critique I’d have is s bit of shading or tone choice for the skin to help show the line art!

tbf the artist’s work (at least the ones I have seen) are mostly just either busts of upper body pics, so I think that they might not have as much experience doing fullbody work.
 
And as for the skin and any sort of stereotypes, this was not the intend of neither me or the artist. IDK what skin color she Headcanons these two as, but these are the skin tones that I Headcanon them for, and I don’t think that this bring to mind any sort of negative stereotype of black people (if it does, im sorry)

Overall it isn’t a bad picture, but a few things are kinda off-putting. Diamond’s proportions are…odd and with the implied positioning of her waist can imply some less than savory ideas.
 
The skin tone in and of itself isn’t bad either, but there’s barely a way to tell where Applebloom’s elbow or fingers are. There’s no real differentiation.
 
The outfits themselves are stellar. Applebloom’s is drawn exceptionally well and feels like it fits to her implied body shape well. Diamond Tiara’s outfit is wholly something I’d expect her to wear. A little bit “prissy” but with the implied texture of jeans, still feels like an emulation of a “down to earth” jean shorts.
 
That being said, Diamond Tiara’s body shape isn’t flattering, and some might call it a bit…bad. Her arms are way too long compared to her implied torso size leading to implications of negative stereotypes.
 
Overall, the artist did extremely well and put out a good piece. But it should be noted that they should work on proportions and be aware of stereotypes that may follow certain characteristics. Also again Applebloom’s outfit <3
