It’s sad……but true.
 
You guys remember this piece I made WAAAAAAAAAy back when in honor of the story “Daughter of Discord” which was created by DisneyFanatic2364 some years ago? The one that’s basically just a bunch of pics copied and pasted together to form another? And was also supposed to advertise an AU story I worked on for a bit called “Of Love and Darkness”, that stars Lord Tirek as the Main Villain along with the Changelings, but turns this into a hybrid of Romeo and Juliet/The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride and The Little Mermaid.

Well, I was in the mood to do something other than coloring sketches, and so I thought “why not think of an old pic i have that I could have done better, and redraw it?”. Or in this case, actually draw it, since that pic was a copy+paste job. But now, things are a little different, because of how much i’ve improved over the years. Now, I can actually make a decent drawing without any serious issue, and share it with all of you. That’s how i bring you all this.
 
Nothing major, really. I just actually drew a pic. But using the old pic as a base, I made something better. Since Of Love and Darkness is, as I said, essentially half Little Mermaid, it only seemed fitting to have an Ursula figure involved - and no offense, but I don’t mean Chrysalis, since she’s as far above being in the same league as Ursula as you can get. Fortunately, a certain other villain in the show who is also a devil figure (OR WAS UNTIL SEASON 9 FUCKED HIM UP!!!) was able to fill that spot. This is ultimately what influenced the creation of MY Lord Tirek, for all of my MLP related projects, with “The Light of Harmony’s Hope” being at the top. Here, however, he’s filling the role of Ursula, plain and simple. Sure he’s got a grand scheme in mind, but not on the scale that my other stories have. In my DoD AU, he’s plotting the same plan as the Sea Witch, but using EVERYONE on the board game. Mothball was made into the key to his enemies undoing because he has things much worse than Screwball. ALOT worse, seeing as how he’s Chrysalis’ son.
 
So why not take advantage of his emotional state after a disastrous Grand Galloping Gala exposed him, and almost got him killed by Discord? This basically leads to the same situation as in TLM: Tirek offers to make Mothball a full-fledged pony, and take away ALL aspects of his changeling heritage in exchange for his voice (because he’s a major prick). From there, things take slightly a different route from the original story, but still progresses with the same events happening - only Lord Tirek is more involved, and the driving force behind the plot. And yes, he’ll also be wearing his armor from “The Price of Freedom” and my Season 9 redux, because it differentiates him from show Tirek, and makes him look epic as hell.
