Another villain-related piece of work.XD
But in my case, it IS important, because it revolves around the main villain of my whole MLP project series, the Harmoniaverse. I speak of none other than the centaur of evil, Lord Tirek. And I will certainly admit it’s gonna be a bit of a challenge for me doing this. However, I actually think I can manage because when comparing G4 Tirek to Harmonia-verse Lord Tirek, I actually have alot of differences to work with. Because while these two ultimately start out the same, and experience ‘Twilight’s Kingdom’ in the same sense, that is where their similarities end. All I can say right now is that MY Tirek makes canon Tirek seem kind in comparison, and in terms of evil rivals that of Sir-Writesalot in his twirageous saga.
Now, to show how different these two are, let’s get started with the obvious bit:
Voice Actors (Do not take this 100% seriously because it’s unofficial, so there’s no need to bother me with things like ‘Tim Curry’s too old’ or ‘why Tim Curry?’. Keep that kind of bullshit to yourselves, please, i ask as respectfully as I can)

Not really appreciating the rude sarcasm here. If you don’t like it, just say so. Just don’t be rude when there’s no reason to while you’re going at it.
Because it’s the perfect example of a dumb looking edgy character that someone made to try really hard to look cool. And that’s before we reach the “He’s SUPER EVIL and STRONG and EVIL” description that goes perfectly with the image. I bet he KICKS PUPPIES and CUTS IN LINE AT THE MOVIE THEATER

I’m of similar mind. I wouldn’t have minded what they’ve done with big T and was more than open to see Grogar become a legit threat like in G1, and in “Age of Equestria”. But……..hasbro f*cked us over, and we all fell for the old “fake grogar” gag. Now I know how Batman feels every time Joker pulls that shit. And I was at least looking forward to a possible reenactment of “THe Return of Tambelon” in a new format. But DHX failed us and cheated us. So i’m going to show them what for by writing my own Season 9.
Very good, I’m glad then! As long as you can handle the critics and continue making what you enjoy, I’m happy.
Personally I think Tirek got handled fine in Season 9, I’m of the more common opinion that Grogar wasn’t given proper justice. I’ll find my own way to satisfy that issue though. That’s the fun of being a creator and not a consumer.
Believe me, my strength to create has NEVER been stronger. It just seemed like you don’t like what i’m doing with Tirek, and that just saddens me a little bit. That’s all. Especially considering after his debut in BOTH G1 and G4, he deserves alot more respect than he got in season 9. I’m simply trying to give him that respect the best way I know how: through what basically equates to an alternate universe story that gives certain characters, like Sombra, Gallus, Sandbar, and Tirek, the attention they deserve - as well as a chance to expand on their already existing characters, and make them part of something fun for others to enjoy.
That’s the purpose of a fanfiction au: to make your dreams reality in written form, and simply share it with others. I’m not doing any of this to please anyone, or earn anyone’s attention and respect. Every artistic and literary thing I do is for myself first. I just want to share my ideas, and concepts with those eager to see what I can do. And no neighsayers (pun intended) are going to get in my way - though I don’t count you among them, Sandbag. I swear on my life in that regard.:)
I certainly wouldn’t want it to demoralise you. If anything, I’d hope it’d strengthen your desire to create.
Okay, and i’ll accept your opinion, and try not to let it demoralize me after reading it.
I did read the link, and that still summarises my feelings on it. It just feels like you took Tirek and added a mountain of info onto him that was unnecessary. It’s why I said less is more. You wrote 23 paragraphs on the backstory of your version of Tirek, while canon Tirek gets 1 paragraph for basically every category comparing them. That’s not including things like the details about his powers, which essentially boil down to “Just like canon Tirek but stronger,” or his personality, which you describe as “All of the positive aspects of canon Tirek.”
Even if it’s not your intent to make a better Tirek, your choices in designing this alternate version all seem to boil down to making him a stronger and smarter version of his canon counterpart, which I think is just kinda lazy. You can keep doing that if you want, I really don’t mind. It’s your story, the final decisions are ultimately left up to you. I just felt like voicing my opinion for once.
Why would it be when i’m the one who made the ‘fanon’ tirek. Or “Harmoniaverse” Lord Tirek, as I like to call him. It’s to show the difference between an official character depiction, and the one made in a fanfiction. My link in the description will lead you to the full page that explains the differences between these two.
While I respect how you feel, I have to strongly disagree. The point of this meme/project isn’t to show how much “better” harmoniaverse tirek is than canon: it’s to show what their differences are, and give him background and character. This is for an existing story i’m working on as part of my own take on season 9, and it involves basically taking Tirek back to his G1 roots as a force to fear, and the very first villain in the show that made us question if this show was actually for little girls at all.
I strongly recommend you follow the link, and read on my DA page to get a better understanding, even if you probably aren’t a fan of Tirek, either way, or just have your own views, either of which I will not judge.

That’s how it was in the episode, yes. But in the Harmoniaverse, they’re a race equivalent to both Orcs AND The Heartless. They are creatures of pure darkness with a level of sapience made from taking the souls of differing species, and merging them into a horrific mishmash of dark quality meant only for killing. And let’s just say sources like the mirror pool will ensure there are more than enough for an army of these dark beasts to dominate the world. I forgot to mention the Garthim, but I think you get the idea.:)

Uh……..what’s HiE stand for, if you don’t mind explaining?
So they’re a race of demons that exist? I like the name ‘Tiracians’, but I thought they’d be corrupted ponies of various races. The winged ones were once pegasi, the tusked ones were once Earth ponies and the horned ones were once unicorns.
I figured Tirac would be able to corrupt way more than ponies, too, since he turned a huge portion of the land into Midnight Castle and a large body of water surrounding it as well as birds and butterflies into his monstrous minions.

Which is funny anyone mentions that, given that the Lord Tirek on the right has a race of evil demons under his control named “Tiracians” in reference to Tirac. They’re based on Tirac’s steeds, but taken to a whole new direction….though I guess making them the equivalent of Orcs isn’t that new.:D
