ur definitely right about the “aggressive one” stereotype, but she doesn’t have a tan, she rly is just brown. specifically, she’s meant to be ryukyuan, an asian ethnic group indigenous to the okinawa region of japan who have darker skin than most japanese folks

Don’t get too excited; she’s a common Japanese character template stereotype of the brash, aggressive, athletic wild girl being noticeably darker skinned than everyone else in the cast, partially because “spends a lot of time outdoors and has a tan” and partially because “Japan is racist as hell and characters usually only get dark skin if they’re The Aggressive One”.
