Ok a lil headcanon to my Pikoverse
 
Long time before the Apple vs Pear fiasco, Granny Smith and Grand Pear, were pretty close…they could actually be much closer if they weren’t so stubborn, and would admit their feelings to eachother. Unfortunately, they never really sorted their relationship out, resulting in a big clan fight, Pear Butter and Bright Mac wedding and so on and so on.
 
They finally reunited many years later. (Perfect Pear episode) From now on, they lived together as a couple of good old grandparents. They had time and patience to talk things out, and just enjoy their retirement sitting on the porch, working on a farm, and observing as their wonderful grandkids grew. Applejack soon became aware of the romantic nature of her grandparents relationship, and, of course felt a little awkward with it, yet she couldn’t bring herself to step in and ruin that for them. They were old, harmless, and they deserved a wholesome time as a couple. What they could do? Kiss eachother hooves to death?… Haha …well…
 
It all changed when Apple Bloom brought another sample of magic flower to her house (from Growing Up is Hard to Do). Twilight Sparkle trusted her with taking care of the plant, since she and her friends knew the best what power it had. Little couldn’t Apple Bloom know, that during her absence grandparents started dusting of the house. Long story short, this happened…
 
Finding themself young and beautiful again, Grand and Granny went…a little overboard. They left a note to their grandkids that they’re fine and went on a honeymoon/adventure to Las Pegasus with that “ weird sparkly flower “. When the lovers came back the chaos started. Not only their used the magic flower for their own selfish needs, Granny Smith got pregnant! With Grand Pear! What kind of sick nightmare was that?
 
When the situation finally settled down, Granny Smith decided to keep the baby, despite the initial protest of her grandchildren. But it was just the beginning of their problems. Even with the power of magic flower, age changing spells tends to wear off, but Granny Smith needed her young body to keep the pregnancy. With help of Twilight renewing the spell and Zecora’s medicines, she fought very hard for her baby. Of course, she would have to come back to her old age eventually, but it didn’t matter. She wanted that baby. She wanted to watch her and Grand Pear’s child grow, even if she couldn’t be the best mother for him. She would never dream of having that chance before, and now she couldn’t let it go.Grand Pear supported his lover with all strengh he had, even if there wasn’t really much of it. Seeing their determination, Big Mac, Apple Bloom and Applejack couldn’t really stay mad at them any longer.
 
Granny Smith managed to give birth to a healthly colt, but her body was strained from spells, age and childbirth. She died couple hours after the labor.
 
The whole family was devastated by her death, but durning that sad time, there was a small gleam of hope…Rainbow Dash came up with his name- Luster Rush. Apple’s with Grand Pear and Dashie, dedicated themself to raise the little boy the best way they could. Grand Pear, outlived Granny Smith by ten year, durning when he showered his son with love and stories about his mother.
 
Now Luster Rush lives with Applejack and Rainbow as his two butch mothers, and he’s pretty much ok~
