That is most likely because she came to the school already accepting her way of friendship rather then not knowing about it like most other students. Really, her problem was much different.

That’s literally the exact thing I said was a spectacular misunderstanding. Especially since LITERALLY EVERY OTHER STUDENT understood and grew friendships because of what they learned ie: the Student 6 (which included Smolder a dragon and we clearly see how they viewed friendship)

I did not say the event was a misunderstanding, I said that Cozy misunderstood the meaning of friendship. Twilight clearly stated that she was wrong, but refused to elaborate or teach her why.

Who said she wasn’t a manipulative narcissist? She is. Just makes no sense to act like she’s any worse than the OTHER manipulative narcissists they’ve had in the series.
Sunset, Starlight, Discord all manipulative narcissists to an extreme degree.
If Cozy’s a big idiot, so are they. None of them understood friendship, and none of them were ignorant to what it was or never told why it was good.
She’s no stupider than literally any other villain who didn’t get it. Literally no different than not understanding any other emotion like love. Just because you know what it is and have people tell you how great it is doesn’t mean you understand it. You can’t possibly understand it without experiencing it yourself.

I’m very aware of Frenemies and it doesn’t change my view of how she’s a manipulative narcissist. Because I find it stupid to say that she so massively misinterpreted to such a degree it’s comical. So what I hear with that is she’s the biggest idiot in all of animation
Maybe I’d agree to some degree but not much further than I feel people go, that she understood on some level

Cozy never actually made any real friendships. When she started to in Frenemies, she actually started to think she liked it.
So, no. She didn’t know. She came to the conclusion that there was more value in power than legitimate relationships and she has been given very little reason to doubt that conclusion after they defeated her and decided to lock her away forever.

Cozy misunderstood her lessons. With help that misunderstanding could be corrected and a reformation could have taken place. There is no evidence to the contrary.
I hate how people say “misunderstanding” that’s a pretty spectacular misunderstanding. Like it makes Patrick Star look like a particle physicist. They teach how to make friends and she interrupts it as a way to manipulate ponies.

No villain would ever reform through animal care, sowing, history and whatever lessons that were taught in that school. The fact of the matter is, they did not know her intentions, treated her like any other student and as such, were not working to rehabilitate her. Memorizing things is not the same as understanding them.
Simple lessons taught in a school are meaningless for someone who thinks about them in a certain way and already has a plan for it. They never tried to correct Cozy’s beliefs or anything of the sort. I doubt Discord or any other villain would suddenly have reformed from attending a year in that place as it is not a rehabilitation program.
Cozy misunderstood her lessons. With help that misunderstanding could be corrected and a reformation could have taken place. There is no evidence to the contrary.

How is it the same uh because like I said the school taught the exact things the reformed villains leaned when they were redeemed. Friendship and how it worked how would reforming Cozy work any different than when the school basically gave those lessons to her on a silver plater. Like really it’s like “Here’s what Starlight, Trixie, Tempest, etc learned from Twilight in school form.”
She could that friendship is about bringing people together but that’s exactly what she was being taught anyway.
This would basically require her to be the biggest idiot of idiots or complete narcissist for her to take lessons of how to make friends and spread harmony as “here’s how I can be in control and have EVERYONE do what I want”

And a school is the same as a rehabilitation program how? If I learn a poem in school, will I suddenly know its meaning? All she did was memorize some stuff while getting everyone’s trust because no one knew what she actually was like. Discord, meanwhile, was offered a second chance, forced into taking it, had Fluttershy tirelessly help him despite her knowing exactly what he was like and what he did while Cozy was pretty much given up on after her reveal as a villain.
Starlight had a loving father and villagers who obeyed her without question. Why didn’t that suddenly make her reform? Why did Discord betray the heroes for Tirek after all Fluttershy did for him?
She could have been given more with perhaps a Discord style long-term rehabilitation, maybe digging into why she wanted power so bad and perhaps if Twilight were to explain why friendship wasn’t about power instead of simply saying that she was wrong, among other ways to help her.
And no, she was not offered any opportunity for a second chance or a way to change. No one let her out to have someone help her, no one ever offered her a hoof in friendship, nothing. She never got the help that she needed.

Wrong she was LITERALLY in a school teaching the EXACT ideals of friendship that Discord and Starlight learned if anything she had THE MOST opportunity to change than any other villain in the series BEFORE she even committed the crimes she did. How could she have been given anything more?

Like how Starlight refused to even listen to Twilight’s friendship speech or her attempts to convince her to stop until she took her to her past? Or how Discord mocked the ponies for trying to reform him upon his release? I can guerentee that had those two been given the same kind of attempt that Chrysalis got, they would never have reformed.

The bar for what counts as reaching out to someone else is incredibly low for some people it seems.
 
The number of people who act like Twilight simply asking Cozy why she did the evil thing she did constitutes an attempt to change her is too high.
 
And Tirek got even less than that despite just sitting around for over a thousand years.

When was Chrysalis given anything beyond an outstretched hoof like how Starlight and Discord got literaly reformation programs? When was Tirek let out of Tartarus specifically to get rehabilitated like how Discord was released from stone to Fluttershy? When was Cozy given literally any of those or got even so much as an outstretched hoof? Never.
