I found out recently that Michael Jelenic It actually write an episode for a thundercat show the 2011 one. He was involved in roar but as a consulting producer I’m assuming that just means they asked him a few questions

“Justice Legaue Action” was a great combination of comedy, action, and homage to the DC superheroes.

Well, it’s a new decade, so I still see it as a new “Gen.”

Well, if a Show is successfull you can see on the Size:
 
Gen 1 has 1 Movie and 2 Seasons  
Gen 2 had 1 Season and 6 Specials (and the first Apearance of an Alicorn in the Franchise, in Eppisode 17)  
Gen 3 has 2 Movie, 3 Seasons (sort of) and 5 Specials in 3 different Mini Generations (Core 7, G3.5, Newborn Cuties)  
Gen 4 has 1 Movie, 9 Seasons, 18 Shorts and 2 Specials  
Gen 4.1 (Equestria Girls) has 5 Movies, 2x2 digital Seasons, 31 Shorts and 13 Specials  
Gen 4.2 (Pony Life) has 2 Seasons  
Gen 5 will have 1 Movie and at last 1 Season (depend on the Success of the Movie)
 
Personaly I see Gen 5 like many other here, as an Gen 4.5, because it is the same Universe and Place, just maybe 1000y in the Future.  
This even mean Hasbro will “kill” the old Cast with this Timejump.  
But it would be strange if the Alicorns (at last Twilight, Cadance and Flurry Heart) and imortal Creatures like Discord would not exist in that Time.  
I mean Celestia is at last 1200y old at the end of the Show, Cadance somewhere end 20, twilight 22 and Flurry 1-2.  
This mean Twilight should be in the Age of Celestia in G5.  
If the Alicorns are not there anymore then it has to be a longer Timejump, but I guess FiM is in our real Time of the Middle Age (1200) and G5 is maybe somewhere in the 1990 (because of Sunnys Rolercates).
 
If Hasbro choose a bad Way end remove the old Cast by old Age from the World of Equestria, just to sell more G5 Toys, then they could made the Fans angry and allow the new Generation to fail, like it was with the Newborn Cuties (G3) who had just 2 Episodes.  
I think the Fans will place Sunny and the other Ponys from Gen5 paralel to FiM, like the Pillars of Equestria, the Young 6, maybe even the Mage 6 (the 6 Unicorns who have handle Sun/Moon before Celestia/Luna) and the Core 7 (Gen3).

In comparison, Pony Life was like a goofy, satirical love-letter to FIM.
 
“Thundercats Roar” meanwhile doesn’t even seem like an affectionate parody.  
Even TTGo! at least respected it’s source material on occasion, or had DC universe nods.

Comparing Pony Life to that terrible Thundercats Roar is almost slander.
 
Pony Life is not a masterpiece like Friendship is Magic, but Pony Life wasn’t made after a cliffhanger episode like in Thundercats 2011 but after a finale most consider at least satisfying. And it wasn’t meant to be a main series.
 
Context is important.

The worst part of it is that they’re shooting themselves in the foot with this behaviour. I thought about giving Teen Titans Go a, well, a go, because I felt I might find the slice of life comedy a bit more palatable than the watered down faux-anime that was the original, but I have no desire to watch a cartoon deliver hot takes against some fandom I know nothing about. It just comes across as incredibly insecure and that’s such a friggin’ turnoff.

For context, I didn’t really like or have any interest in Pony Life, indicated by my lack of comments on Pony Life pics (aside for short banter). Also didn’t really have time to watch something that didn’t interest me much, despite “pony”.
 
Nor I have any interest with this petty dramas around.
 
For those who do, great. Those who dont, okay. Each for your own. Just dont force others to comform to your opinions.
 
Its perfect because its the fitting parody of that crappy botched adaptation of Thundercats.

I heard a rumor Peter Laird wouldn’t let them do the “Turtles Forever” crossover unless they made fun of the ’80s show as much as possible, though they may of overdid it, as it ended up angering many classic TMNT fans & older fans.

the weird thing is 2003 series had nice references to the 80s show so possibly the shows true did not hate the 80s show but the person put in charge of forever did.  
I believe the reason why Lorenzo was replaced was actually Bill Murray I thought Peter was sounding too much like Garfield (the irony writes itself murray was Garfield in two movies) Coulier did sound a bit more like Peter but he lacked the sarcastic tone making the character sound stupider

Apparently, that giant banana, and stuff in “Forever” were from either a nightmare sequence, or unused character models for the old show they used. So it kinda came off like they didn’t even know much about the old show.  
The 2012 series payed more respects, and while it did poke fun, or criticise some things, the old show characters poked back. (Like ’87 Raph calling the new 2012 turtles “Posers,” and telling 2012 Donatello he “sounds weird.” Both were voiced by Rob Paulson.)
 
Yeah, Dave of “Full House” replaced Venkman in later seasons.
 
Lorenzo Music was best known as Garfield.

don’t forget trans-dimensional Turtles. it’s still made fun of the 80s show was stuff actually found the show and still showing respect.  
also in extreme Ghostbusters Peter Venkman was more like Peter Venkman how he was in later seasons all that was missing was being played by Lorenzo Music instead of Dave Coulier
