It was Pinkie Pie that stopped Dash from pranking Fluttershy. If Pinkie wasn’t there, Dash would’ve gone through with the prank. Besides, the artist said that Fluttershy wants to swim but it was too cold. Dash is just helping Fluttershy get through that first dip, since once you’re in, it’s not as cold as it once seemed.
