oh, so it’s like recording your voice, then sending them the file. they don’t have to receive and respond to it while you’re recording, in real time, like most “phone calls” are.

Something like that. Unlike calling via phone though, if you can’t get a hold of a line in the first place, texting via voices/characters will ensure the message is sent and will be later received without going through the hassle of repeatedly dialing the number (and you won’t have to worry about inadvertently disturbing anybody with constant ringing)

See, Dash texts fast because she probably texts with misspellings, words with numbers, sentence fragments and emojis. While Twilight texts with proper spelling, full sentences, and no contractions.
