Scootaloo winced as her mother Treehugger stretched her back leg, her muscles extending past what’s comfortable.
”Mom, that hurts.” Scootaloo grunted, struggling to maintain the pose she was placed in.
”Thats your magical system opening up! We need the magic to flow into your legs.” Treehugger explained gently. She massaged her daughter’s hind leg to ease the strain.
“How long till I can do earthy magic?” Scootaloo asked. She allowed her mother to lower her leg and pick up the other.
“It’s about the journey, not the destination. You’re never gonna wake up one day with earthy magic, you need to practice your exercises every day to maintain magic flow to your legs.” Treehugger smiled as she spoke, her voice soft and reassuring. Scoots smiled through the aches and let her mother lead her body into a new position.

Scoots and Mamma Hugger doing their daily therapeutic exercises. Working at this everyday will allow Scoots to utilize earthy magic by channeling it into her legs. Pegasi do not naturally have magic in their entire leg, just their hoof. Trying to use earthy magic with the body of a pegasus is like trying to flex a muscle you’ve never moved before. Treehugger has helped others with Magicus Discordia and knows exactly what she’s doing, even if Scoots feels it’s slow going.
