And what exactly does she gain by pretending to be socially awkward? If she was initially sociable, she could just go into that School and start making friends right away, being star pupil and achieving her goal much faster. Your version doesn’t make that much sense.
Sorry, I should’ve put “friends” in quotation marks. That all what her friends were to her, tools to use for personal gain.

That doesn’t prove anything. Taking out Mane 6 and Starlight was, again, a pretty logical choice while getting rid of magic users and the ones that could dispute her being the School’s leader.
So instead of providing your own valid points, you’re just going to say that? The analysis that I posted makes perfect sense from at least one standpoint. And when did I ever say that “everyone but Cozy Glow is to blame”? Have you already forgotten what we were talking about in the last comments? I can see how she could want to become powerful even before entering the School, but I highly doubt she contacted Tirek before that. Tirek only mentioned her asking him how to drain all the magic in Equestria (and, I mean, why would she contact him for anything other than that?). Why would she want to drain all the magic in Equestria if she also doesn’t have anything? It’s pretty logical that she wanted to drain all the magic only after she became “powerful” by befriending the whole school, so she could use that power without any risk of magic users stopping her.

You don’t get the blame the school for that when she’s the one who willingly went to Tirek. If she knew friendship was why the villains didn’t win, then she wouldn’t have gone to him to begin with. It’s pretty obvious that she was already planning this by the time the school was opened.

How does adoration solve a misconception about the friendship itself? Being adored only helped Cozy become more “powerful”. Also, it’s unclear whether she was evil/desired power before she went to School Of Friendship, or after studying for some time. I’d say it was actually the School that led her to that path, because in School of Friendship, they always say that friendship is the most important thing ever and it’s the reason why even the most powerful villains couldn’t win. So Cozy, with her way of thinking

Also, just because of the heroes punished them that doesn’t automatically make them as bad as the villains. Say what you want, at least they trued to extend the hand of friendship to them, they’re the ones who rejected and threatened to kill them on more than one occasion.

Well, they’re not “reformed” like Discord (you’d expect someone who is good or at least pretends to be good to not bring apocalypse 2 times after said reformation).
I never said Discord isn’t to blame, but at least he tried to make up for his screw up, the rest of them never intended to reform.
I’d be more okay with that if they did it all by themselves (escaping Tartarus, joining Chrysalis, finding Grogar’s bell). But given the fact that Discord led them to this? You just can’t say that they deserve it while agreeing with Discord getting away with everything. If they deserve it, Discord deserves to be standing next to them.

They would’ve done it anyway. Tirek broke out once, he could do it again and take Cozy with him, Chrysalis was still plotting vengeance. So yeah, I can say they deserve it.
I’m just gonna say it again, to go with this image and the one I mentioned earlier (since my previous comment got deleted for a BS reason): if it wasn’t for Discord, villain trio wouldn’t have done anything, so you can’t say that they “deserve it” while agreeing with Discord getting away with everything.
Moral point of giving a child life sentence is a whole other topic. We could try to accept something like “oh, ponies just have different moral standards, they are a medieval society”, but that would defy pretty much everything we have seen in the first 6 seasons. Wait, even in season 7. Holy shit.

And Cozy wouldn’t have been sent to Tartarus if she hadn’t try to drain the entire world of magic. But she did, and she got punished for it.
Like I said, she had it coming.
My point still stands. They aren’t dead. So they haven’t stooped to their level.
Besides, they pretty much deserved it by this point, or did you forget the part where Chrysalis was about to rip off Spike’s wings?
