argh…… maybe we can think, that light is just energy flowing out force field and it can’t fully converted or used same like modern machine/engines.
 
and some fictional head canon, the mana(magicka/Qi) always circulate in the body, so that enough to resistance none dangerously forcused magics(weak spell) trigger the energy flows much faster and strong than other way.

This would be far more discomforting than it currently is portrayed. Because the arcanokinesis is only distributed along a narrow section of the torso, and not supporting the entire undercarriage as the body posture currently suggests. In addition, depending on the narrowness and arcanokinetic energy, such a field might even be sharp enough to slice through flesh and many other things like a vibrating plasma energy blade.
